Facebook Ads for clinics: how Med-Wave runs Meta campaigns for therapists

Facebook ads for clinics is a phrase ten people a month type into Google. We measured it before writing this page: the full-text list of English queries containing it holds exactly one entry, at competition 0.29, with no cost per click quoted at all. Med-Wave runs Meta campaigns for manual therapy practices: physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors and massage therapists. This page is about what that work is, what it is not, and where it hands over.

A head term of ten searches a month

That ten is not a rounding of something larger. The source quotes no click price for it at all, and its listed intent is informational, with commercial only as a second reading.

The neighbouring "facebook ads for [trade]" family holds 1,921 phrases, and its top sixty by volume contain no health trade at all:

Phrase

PhraseSearches per month
facebook ads for travel1,900
facebook ads for real estate1,000
facebook ads for small business880
facebook ads for leads (a format, not a trade)880
facebook ads for games720
facebook ads for hotels590
facebook ads for events480
facebook ads for chiropractors320
facebook ads for clinics10

The last two rows were measured on their own seeds, because neither comes back among the sixty that family returns

Travel at 1,900, property at 1,000 and small business at 880 have a supplier market. The one health branch we could measure is facebook ads for chiropractors, at 320 searches a month, 7.29 dollars a click and competition 0.02, with informational as its main intent.

Its three sibling phrases have no measurable volume, and one of them is "how to run facebook ads for chiropractors". So the practice owner who searches at all is usually after a tutorial: 320 a month reading about the channel, ten a month looking for somebody to hold it. Interest is growing, at 52% year over year on that phrase, but it has not turned into a buying habit.

Latent demand on this channel does not begin at the patient. It begins one step earlier, with a practice that has not yet worked out that the channel is a job somebody else can hold.

Thirty-three of the first hundred phrases are people switching the ads off

What English types when it types those two words is mostly maintenance: the facebook ads library alone takes 74,000 searches a month. The facebook ads manager cluster takes 60,500 on one phrasing and 49,500 on another, and "facebook ads" on its own takes 40,500 at 17.28 dollars a click.

Then the shape changes: thirty-three of the first hundred phrases contain block, blocked, stop, disable, prevent or get rid. "blocking facebook ads" alone is 5,400 a month, and a click on it costs 2.83 dollars. Fifty-eight of that hundred are classified informational and nineteen navigational, someone reaching a screen they already use.

Twenty-three are commercial, and exactly one of those twenty-three is an agency search. The other twenty-two are mostly the ads manager, the business account and the platform itself, and "ads on facebook" alone is 40,500 at 18.52 dollars a click.

A campaign in that feed has to carry its own reason for existing, because no query underneath it is supplying one.

Two names, one auction: 49,500 and 40,500

"meta ads" now takes 49,500 searches a month and is classified commercial; "facebook ads" takes 40,500 with the same classification. The two libraries sit level at 74,000 each, and so does the meta ads manager. People are still asking what the new name means: "what are meta ads" at 480 a month, "what is meta ads" at 260, and this page keeps the word clinics use.

The same account serves Instagram, and "facebook instagram stories ads" alone is 27,100 a month. One consequence before you spend anything: the ad library is public and searchable, and "meta ads library search" runs at 880 a month at difficulty 4.

"meta ads transparency" adds another 590, so whatever we publish for your practice, the practice competing with you can pull up and read. We write creative on that assumption.

Facebook ads for clinics is mostly production: 2,400 searches a month go on ad sizes alone

A managed Meta campaign is not one decision but a stream of small technical ones, and "meta ads specs" alone is 1,300 searches a month. "sizes for facebook ads" and "dimensions for facebook ads" are 2,400 each, "meta ads safe zones" is 320, and "meta carousel ads" draws 320 searches at 36.95 dollars a click.

Making the thing is a second line item: "how to make ads for facebook" and "how to create ads for facebook" are 1,000 each, at 20.86 dollars a click. "how to run meta ads" is 320, "meta ads certification" 480, "meta ads course" 390.

When advertisers give up on official answers they ask each other: "meta ads reddit" is 320 searches a month. That click costs 60.67 dollars, more than any other informational phrase in the sixty-phrase Meta set carries.

The platform is also a moving target: "meta ads news" is 2,900 searches a month, "meta ads update" and "meta ads updates" 720 each. "meta ads support" is 590 and "meta ads status" 260, which is what advertisers type when something has stopped working. Even the plumbing has a market: "meta ads api" is 390 at 26.86 dollars a click, and a click on "meta ads manager login" costs 41.87.

Nothing here describes our internal settings, because settings that work are read off a specific account, not off a page.

The two prices of this market: 97.80 and 7.29

"agency facebook ads" takes 2,400 searches a month, and a click on it costs 97.80 dollars at a keyword difficulty of 5. "agency for facebook ads" is the same 2,400 at the same 97.80, and "meta ads agency" is 480 at 93.03, difficulty 9. Those are ceilings: no click in the hundred-phrase Facebook list is dearer than 97.80, and none in the sixty-phrase Meta list is dearer than 93.03.

The click that reaches a practice owner reading about the channel costs 7.29, over thirteen times less. Even the generic advertiser is dearer than that: "facebook ads for business" is 3,600 a month at 22.23 dollars a click. Both are supplier-side clicks: 97.80 buys somebody already shopping for an agency, 7.29 somebody still deciding whether this channel is worth anything. At 7.29 against 97.80, almost nobody is bidding for the second.

"how much do facebook ads cost" is 2,900 a month at 10.22 dollars a click, "prices for facebook ads" is 1,600 at 15.83, and "meta ads cost" is 260. We do not answer it with a rate card. What a budget buys is set in the auction: how many advertisers want the same people at the same hour, and what the creative earns against them.

Where this page stops: the 880-a-month lead form

Meta will collect an enquiry inside the feed without sending anyone to a website. "facebook ads for leads" and "lead ads for facebook" run at 880 a month at 18.96 dollars a click, and "meta leads ads" adds another 210 at 23.64.

An in-feed form is fast, and that speed is also the exact line where this service ends. A form fill is a name and a number that arrived while the practice was mid-treatment. It is not a booking, and treating it as one is how a campaign gets blamed for a handover problem.

Where the enquiry is stored, what state it is in and what follow-up fires automatically: that is our CRM for clinics. Who speaks to the person, confirms and rearranges: that is the virtual receptionist. The four pieces and how they fit together are laid out on the services hub. A practice that pays for reach and then loses the enquiries in an inbox concludes that the channel does not work for therapists.

Two clinics, in their own words

Both practitioners quoted here are osteopaths, and both reviews are published in full, unedited and untranslated, among the fifteen video reviews on our reviews page.

Elia Palatron, osteopath

  • In 3 weeks, I went from working from home to having an office and working 8 hours a day every day.
    Elia PalatronMed-Wave partner

Mario Torcinaro, osteopath

  • "In just 15 days, I acquired 20 new patients, a growth I did not expect in such a short time. You have eased my anxieties and brought concrete results."
    Mario TorcinaroMed-Wave partner

Two osteopaths are not a promise to a physiotherapist, a chiropractor or a massage therapist, and results in an auction do not transfer between accounts

Read them as evidence that the mechanism is real, not as a forecast for your diary. The rest of the video reviews, from other manual therapy professions, are on our partners' reviews page.

How a clinic becomes a client

We do not take every practice that asks, which is why the button says apply rather than buy. At ten searches a month for the service, nobody lands here by accident: the door is an application about what you treat and how full the diary already is. If the fit is there, we run the campaigns, the creative and the lead capture, and we hand the enquiries to the parts of the system built to catch them.

Frequently asked questions

What are Facebook ads for clinics, exactly?

They are paid campaigns run on Meta's platforms, Facebook and Instagram, aimed at people who are not currently searching for a therapist. Med-Wave writes, launches and maintains them for the practice, including the in-feed lead form.

Is there a difference between Meta ads and Facebook ads?

It is the same auction under two names: "meta ads" takes 49,500 searches a month in English and "facebook ads" 40,500, and both run from one account. People mix the two: "facebook meta ads" runs at 1,900 a month and "meta facebook ads" at 320, and we use the older name because that is what practices say.

How much do Facebook ads cost for a clinic?

There is no fixed answer, which is why 2,900 people a month ask the question in English and still get one. The price of reaching an audience is set in an auction against every other advertiser wanting the same people at the same hour.

Can our practice just run them ourselves?

Many do, and the search data shows the size of the homework: 1,300 searches a month on format specs, 2,400 on ad sizes, 480 on the platform's own certification. The channel is learnable; the question is whether learning it is the best use of a clinician's week.

Where do the enquiries from the ads end up?

They land in the CRM as records with a state, not as notifications in an inbox, and that part is described on the CRM page. This page is responsible for the campaign that produces the enquiry, not for the call that turns it into an appointment.

Do you work with any clinic?

No: we work with manual therapy practices, and we select at the door through the application. If your work is outside that scope, a Meta campaign built on our material would be the wrong tool sold well.
